Our new name

After some discussion, we have undergone a slight name change for legal reasons. We have been aware of a series of children’s books bearing the same name by John Tully for quite some time now. Hence, the name of our series has now been changed to Galaxy Novus. This allows us to still use StarPol as part of our title and be free of any copyright breaches.

RantRadio Talk takes on StarPol Audio series!

After months of negotiation, we are please to announce that the series can now be heard online on an Canadian-based internet radio site known as RantRadio Talk which streams the best talk shows from around the world. For those who live in our hometown of Adelaide, the series will be broadcast on Wednesday at approximately 1:30pm and re-broadcast on Sunday at the same time. The times you see on the website are for the Canadian timezone [GMT -8].

First episode now online!

After nearly 6 weeks of blood, sweat and tears [okay, maybe not blood!], the first episode of the audio series is now up online for your listening pleasure. Thank you to all the actors and our sound recordist who took time out from their busy schedule to become involved in this project. We couldn’t have done it without you! The episode can be heard on the podcast page of this site. Episode Two will be recorded in Feburary 2010.

Idea for TV series

It’s been a long time coming. It has already been a dream of ours to convert StarPol into a TV series. With the audio series currently in production however, a re-think of the format and concept for the series needs to be made – whether it will be on a specific division within the StarPol organisation or on an entirely different ship in the StarPol fleet. This is currently being discussed by both creators in an effort to bring the best sci-fi series to the small screen.

With nearly 8 years in the making, StarPol is finally ready to be unleased as an audio series. We are currently in the process of finalising the pilot script and auditions will then set up to assess the character roles. So stay tuned!

StarPol withdraws from Sterling Studios

After much discussion, the creators of StarPol have decided to withdraw from Sterling Studios. Instead, an Adelaide-based production house, Gaia’s Genesis, is looking to take it on as a possible future project. Negotiations between the two parties are currently underway.

The New Cast

After a long three weeks of auditioning, the main cast to the audio series has now been assigned! While the actors may be unfamiliar to most who hear their voices, they all have voice-over acting experience. The recording for the first episode will occur in the first week of November and we should be ready to post a trailer for the series by December.

Sterling Studios takes on StarPol

Upon request, we have made contact with the spokesperson for Visual Industries – Sterling Studios to discuss the series further and negotiations are currently in process.
